Is my tableware pattern dishwasher and microwave safe?
Hand Washing: Before use hand washing is always recommended for new purchases. For best results always hand wash your tableware in warm water using a liquid detergent. Even in water, glaze surfaces can be scratched if rubbed against one another with any force, so avoid putting too many plates into water at any one time. Drain in a rack and do not handle several plates at a time whilst drying them. Do not use abrasive washing powders or harsh scourers as gold and platinum decoration is easily damaged. Soaking in warm water before washing will remove most stains or hardened on particles. Very stubborn stains can be removed by soaking in a mild bleach solution for a few minutes. Fine metal marks caused by cutlery can be removed using a ceramic hob cleaner e.g. Rescue.

Washing In a Dishwasher: Our tableware can be washed in a dishwasher safely by following these guidelines:
Do not overload the washer and make sure items do not touch each other.
Follow the machine manufacturer’s instructions carefully, selecting a low or “energy save” setting where possible.
Ensure the correct dosage of washing agent, water softener and rinse aid are applied.

Washing Cutlery: Wash your new Jamie Oliver cutlery by Royal Worcester in warm soapy water before you start to use it.
It is dishwasher safe, but it is best to follow the manufacturer’s advice on recommended detergents and procedures.
Try not to leave the cutlery sitting in a sink full of water for any length of time as mineral salts in the water can harm the metal surfaces.
Be careful not to damage the lovely brushed surface – don’t scrub it with abrasive materials.
Dry your cutlery with a soft cloth straight after you’ve washed it to avoid watermarks.

Microwaves & Ovens: Our porcelain and stoneware cookware/oven-to-tableware is designed for use inside the oven provided sudden changes in temperature are avoided. Take care not to use on electric hot plates, expose to a naked flame or allow to bake ‘dry’. Fine bone china tableware is not suitable for cooking purposes, however plates can be pre-heated if put in a cold oven and warmed gently. Tableware designs without precious metal decoration are safe for use in the microwave. Any pattern that uses gold or platinum decoration must not be used in a microwave oven as this can damage both the ware and the microwave.
