Tony Young

As a child Tony’s interest in art came from his father who loved painting and who taught Tony the fundamentals of art. At school, Tony excelled in all aspects of art. His love of art earned him an apprenticeship at Royal Worcester on leaving school in 1970. In 1972 he earned the accolade of “best animal and bird artist” of all of the apprentices at that time. Henry Sandon was the judge. Tony is an exceptionally versatile artist and his paintings include very intricate studies, some of which are on display in Buckingham Palace. Tony continues to paint highly collectible pieces of Royal Worcester prestige product.
